I'm impressed. Mr. Peck sharpened all my kitchen knives, most of my pocket knives and 4 of my lawnmower blades 7 months ago.
They were all very sharp when I got them back. Today, seven months later, they are still very sharp and holding up well. The lawnmower blades are also doing a great job, not only are they still sharp enough to use this season, but, the balance job he did to each blade made a noticeable difference minimizing vibration.

I wasn’t sure where I could get blender blades sharpened, so I reached out to imPECKably Sharp after finding the website online and was very pleased! I grew up in a family of cooks, and I've been cooking since I was a kid. The importance of a sharp knife was drilled in early, the value of a knife that was built to last, and built to hold an edge was drilled in early - a sharp knife is always safer than a dull one. I've got a couple of Wüsthof chef's knives, a 6" and 8" - that I've had for about 15 years.
Through these 15 years I've tried every method of sharpening, professional, pull through, electric, whetstone - etc. I've beaten them to hell myself, and been using them constantly in the kitchen. I've recently been so frustrated because my two nicest knives are duller than my crappiest knives. And I've been furiously searching for a solution.
After reading the reviews of imPECKably Sharp, and seeing Johnny was local, I had to give him a try. His promise to return my knifes in better shape than I'd received them from the factory was too enticing to pass over.
I emailed him to set up a time to drop them off, communication was easy and prompt. I easily found his home, but I'm also terrible at reading details so I didn't fully understand until I was outside that it is just his personal residence. I mention this only so you know you're in the right place when you arrive at the address! I rung the doorbell and Johnny quickly checked me in, and checked out my knives, I left to run an errand and 30 minutes later I had my knives back.
I have been using them for a couple of weeks now, and they are just as sharp as when I picked them up. Saying that having sharp knives has changed my life would be the understatement of the year. I use my knives every day, and knowing that the tool I reach for is going to work, and work well, is such a relief it's kinda ridiculous. I wouldn't hesitate to contact Johnny again when I'm in need of a sharpen, and from what he explained about the process, it should be about 9 months since I need to stop by again. I needed 7 kitchen knives sharpened by a professional as previous home DIY attempts were less than ideal. Contacted Johnny by text and he was quick to respond and I was able to set up a drop off time the same day. I reached out to Johnny about sharpening a guillotine paper cutter that my office uses, which was getting very dull. He was very quick and clear in his communication, including what date and time he would be able to pick up the blade to be sharpened. The invoice and payment options were easy and affordable. Company name really does say it all. I took a number of kitchen knives and scissors to johnny for sharpening, having gotten frustrated with my fumbling ability to keep them sharpened. It was a simple drop off and estimate of turnaround time. In this case 24 hours.
When I picked them up next day they were wrapped in butcher paper very professionally. Johnny warned me they would be very sharp. Yep! Indeed they were. I nicked my finger that very day due to my own carelessness when I went to chop some vegetables.
Johnny even saved a pair of heavy kitchen scissors i had dulled over time and didn't think could be saved. Nice to have someone local, professional and good nearby. I'll be a repeat customer and have raved about the service...and yes my finger healed fine. Sharp knives do cut easily, but cleanly!!

Johnny, the owner, was prompt in responding to my inquiry about getting my mower blades and kitchen knives sharpened. I ended up only getting my mower blades sharpened as I didn't have a good way of transporting my kitchen knives (FYI, will be just putting them in a box next time as he will put individual sleeves on the knives when he returns them to you after sharpening).
His estimate for when my blades would be done was very reasonable and accurate. The blades came back incredibly sharp and perfectly balanced. The blades caused no vibrations when I used my mower and did a fantastic job at cutting my grass evenly and precisely.

Johnny from ImPECKably Sharp did a fantastic job on my knives. I have had my knives sharpened by other “professional” services as well as by butchers. My knives are sharper than they were from the first day I bought them! Johnny schedules appointments for your arrival and has the knives ready the same day. He places each of them in a knife sheath plus wraps them in extra heavy duty butcher style paper before placing in a bag when he hands them back to you. He also really emphasizes how sharp they are and to be extra careful when handling them. I highly recommend his business. You will not be disappointed!!

Highly recommend: good quality, great customer service ! I wanted to get my axe sharpened on a random Sunday and he was able to make time for me to do it that day since it was a small job and he had time (he normally takes reservations). He operates out of his garage but its a very nice service, fair pricing, and I will definitely come back in the future.

I’m ashamed to say that the knives I brought to ImPECKably Sharp were in rough shape. They had been dropped, used as pry bars and screwdrivers and used to cut everything from cardboard to 14/3 wire.
The knives I got back were incredibly sharp. The proprietor warned me to be careful with the knives, but I assumed he was just hyping his work. Well I ruined a pair of shorts by innocently wiping a newly sharpened knife against my leg to remove a smug from cutting jerky.

My experience with Impeckably Sharp is that He (Johnny Peck) is the best knife sharpener in Lexington Kentucky. He has a specific method to his madness! He puts a keene razor edge on all of his blades. Not just kitchen knives, but all blades, yard tools, scissors, pocket knives, any kind. With other knife sharpeners, I have found that the quality of the blade edge does not hold very long and have to be reserviced! But the quality of Impeckably sharp you can go months and months without reservicing! I highly. recommend him and his service is prompt with fast return and his fees are very affordable. I hope he stays in business. And I am blessed to have found him! Try him out some time and see what you think!

I found Johnny’s service through the grapevine, a friend of mine referred me here. I took him three Benchmade knives I own and the same friend’s Cold Steel pocketknife, and to be honest, I know for a fact that my knives are sharper now than when they were brand new. Benchmade as a company offers sharpening for life on all their knives, for free. I don’t care, from now on I’m taking my knives here to have them taken care of, because the quality of work, turn around time, and prompt service Johnny and his wife offered were just so impressive to me.
